Denise Messamore

Denise Messamore (Lady D) was born in Denver, Colorado and grew up in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
A lifelong performer, Denise blossomed in church, singing harmonies, winning competitions, and learning instruments. Though most widely known for her beautiful vocals, she also plays piano, flute, and guitar. She is comfortable performing many genres of music, notably jazz, folk, and rock.

Denise earned a bachelor’s degree of music at Arkansas Tech. She teaches piano and voice privately at Fountain Square House® and is involved in many different musical projects and events.
Though many may know her from her work with the jazz ensemble, The Hourglass, in 2019, Denise began a creative partnership with Victoria Bragg. The two perform as an acoustic duo, playing bluegrass, country, rock, blues, jazz, and everything in between.
